Shockingly possible, but weird things have happened in the past. Nokia, now Microsoft, has already dipped its hands in the rival operating system with the release of the X platform Android smartphones.

Now, if a news bite from the serial leakster @evleaks is to be believed, we could see the Android operating system run on a powerful hardware along with superb imaging optics.

According to the leaked information, Microsoft is planning to launch Lumia phones without the famous Windows operating system, but with Android instead. Is it because Android is a much better, tweak-able and open-source platform? It because the number of people preferring the Android operating system is higher in numbers, as compared to iOS and Windows? Or is it that Microsoft wants to have the best of both worlds?

If the news is to be believed, it could be that Microsoft plans to terminate the X series to keep a single brand name under its Lumia series. It could be the possibility of brand extension or a sales stunt. Well, in time, we shall know sooner or later. However, if it is true, users can enjoy a better smartphone in terms of hardware and build.
