SRIKAKULAM: The workers who died in the wall collapse were identified as S. Pentaiah, 50, K. Simhachalam, 35, of Kollivalasa, K. Jayamma, 36 of TR Rajupeta of Burja mandal, I. Ramu, 21,  of Sathram in Saravakota mandal, D. Uma , 30, D. Simmayya, 36, his son D. Jagadeesh, 5, D. Appayya, 40 and his wife D. Laxmi, 36, of Chuttugundam village in Kotabommali mandal. The injured worker was identified as S. Nagaraj of Kollivalasa of Burja mandal who is being treated. at a local hospital and his condition is said to be stable.

“We will pay Rs 5 lakh to each family as financial aid and the Tamil Nadu government has also announced Rs 2 lakh aid. We are making arrangements to shift the bodies to Srikakulam and will help the families,” said  labour and employment minister K. Athchannaidu.
