Heat wave conditions prevailed in coastal Andhra Pradesh

The highest maximum temperature of 41.1 degree celsius has been recorded at Ongole

Hyderabad: Heat wave conditions prevailed in coastal Andhra Pradesh and in some parts of east Rajasthan and of west Madhya Pradesh.

In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were markedly above normal in some parts of Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and of Vidarbha and in remaining parts of east Rajasthan and of west Madhya Pradesh; appreciably above normal in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch and in remaining parts of Gujarat region and were above normal in some  parts of west Rajasthan and of east Madhya Pradesh and in remaining parts of west Madhya Pradesh and Saurashtra and Kutch.

They were normal over the rest of the regions. The highest maximum temperature of 41.1 degree celsius has been recorded at Ongole (coastal Andhra Pradesh) in the plains of the country.

The southwest monsoon has been active over Bihar and coastal Andhra Pradesh. It has been subuded over Haryana,Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.

Total rainfall during the past 24 hours reported by 404 stations in the plains is 250.8 cms. Normal for these 404 stations is 406.9 cms.
