Bid to force kid’s mother into sex

Hyderabad: The police nabbed a man for abducting a five-year-old boy in Kukatpally. The child, Surya Teja, was picked up by the man Venkataramana, 25, a centering worker, from his school. Police said that he made several calls to Surya’s mother and talked indecently.

Keeping Surya in custody, he threatened her with dire consequences if she didn’t surrender to him. The cops who were alerted traced him within an hour and rescued the child.

Surya, who is a student of Siddhartha High School stays with his mother Kavitha at Allwyn Colony in Sainagar. His father Ravi is working in Saudi Arabia, while his mother is a maid servant.

Police said that on Friday evening, Venkataramana, a resident of Suraram in Jeedimetla, went to the school and picked up Surya and fled. He is known to the victim’s family.

Keeping Surya in custody, he called Kavitha and started threatening her.

“He talked indecently to her and asked her to come to him. He also threatened her with dire consequences if she didn't surrender. The victim who was scared of her child’s life  approached us,” said Mr K. Naidu, the investigating officer.

The cops who were alerted, formed teams and tracked down the culprit within an hour. They rescued the child safely.

Based on the victim's complaint, a case was registered against the accused for abduction and for outraging a woman's modesty. He was arrested and produced before court on Saturday.
