Deepika Singh files a defamation case

Mumbai: Deepika Singh aka Sandhya from Diya Aur Baati Hum, is angry — and we imagine she has good reason to be. A website recently put up a report claiming that Deepika was in an inebriated state during the Star Parivaar awards — which the actress isn’t taking lying down.

The latest we hear, is that the actress has approached her lawyer and filed a defamation case demanding Rs 50 crores as compensation from the website. The story sure seems to have cost the website dearly!

Meanwhile, a fire was reported on the sets of Deepika’s show when an air conditioner burst into flames. Two technicians were injured and rushed to hospital. There were no other casualties.
