New Delhi: The controversies over the death of Sunanda Pushkar continued to go through various twists and turns as it emerged that her husband, former Union minister Shashi Tharoor, had sent emails to the AIIMS director on his wife’s “health condition” of his wife.

Dr Sudhir Gupta, who conducted the autopsy on her body at AIIMS, has annexed these emails to the copy of his petition to the Central Administrative Tribunal questioning his non-promotion at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking the setting up of a special investigation team under the CBI to probe Sunanda Pushkar’s death.
