Shah Rukh Khan will be honoured with Legion of France, France's highest distinction, next week

Delhi: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan will be honoured with Legion of France, France’s highest distinction, next week.

French foreign minister, Laurent Fabius, will be travelling to confer the award of Officier de la Legion d'Honneur on SRK to honour his contribution to cinema.

The 'Legion d'Honneur' (Legion of Honour) is the highest distinction that can be conferred in France on a French citizen as well as on a foreigner.

According to reports Fabius will finish his meetings in Delhi on June 30 and July 1, and will then travel to Mumbai for business meetings and give the Legion of Honour to Shah Rukh Khan.

Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar and Satyajit Ray are the only other Indian personalities to have received this honour in the past.
