Mumbai: Each time Virender Sehwag gets in his zone, the fielding side often runs out of ideas. On Friday, the Delhi dasher turned the clock back and responded with a delightful century.

The 35-year-old was at his aggressive best scoring his second century in the IPL off just 50 balls. Though his knock decimated Chennai Super Kings, his innings was a fine mix of brute force and elegance. While he stood and delivered on most occasions, the Delhi dasher outsmarted M.S. Dhoni’s boys on several occasions, cutting them behind point just when the third-man fielder was brought inside the circle.

Post his blitzkrieg, Sehwag showed a mellower side of his when he revealed the reason behind one of the most memorable knocks this season.

“My son called me and said his friends were teasing him. I told him ‘hold on beta, there is still some time’. I had to win at least one game for my team,” Sehwad added.
