Godavari districts to get six Cabinet posts in Andhra Pradesh government

Gollapalli Surya Rao likely to be named AP Speaker

Hyderabad: Along with N. Chandrababu Naidu, 17 to 20 ministers are also likely to take oath on June 8. The Chief Minister-designate and TD chief, Mr Chandrababu Naidu, almost completed the exercise on the formation of the new Cabinet.

According to sources East and West Godavari districts will have more representation. From each district, three members will represent in the Cabinet. As a part of alliance one minister will be given to BJP.

From Muslim community, the TD have one MLA and from STs, only one MLA won from Polavaram in West Godavari district.

According to sources, Kondapalli Appalanaidu (Gajapathi Nagaram), in Vizianagaram, Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu (Narsipatnam), in Visakhapatnam, Nimmakayala China Rajappa (Peddapuram) and Gollapalli Surya Rao (Rajole), in East Godavari, Mudiam Srinivas (Polavaram) and Pitala Sujatha (Chintalapudi), in West Godavari, Mandali Buddha Prasad (Avanigadda) and Devineni Uma Maheswar Rao (Mylavaram), Kodela Siva Prasada Rao (Sattenapalli) and Dhoolipalla Narendra (Ponnuru), Damacharla Janardhan (Ongole) and Siddha Raghava Rao (Darsi) in Prakasam, Bollineni Rama Rao (Udayagiri) in Nellore, Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy (Srikalahasti) in Chittoor, Paritala Sunita (Raptadu) and Palle Raghunadha Reddy (Puttaparthi) from Anantapur, K.E. Krishna Murthy (Pattikonda) in Kurnool, Satish (MLC) or Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy (Rajampeta) in Kadapa districts, almost confirmed berths in the Cabinet.

In women’s quota, Kimidi Mrunalini (Chipurupalli) will get Cabinet post in Srikakulam district, and Kala Venkat Rao may miss the chance as both are relatives.

In East Godavari, the possibility of senior leader and an MLC Yanamala Ramakrishnudu getting a Cabinet berth is still unclear.

Gollapalli Surya Rao’s name is under consideration for Assembly Speaker’s post also. He will get either minister or Assembly Speaker’s post. From the BJP, Kamineni Srinivas, from Kaikalur segment, in Krishna district, is likely to get a chance in the Cabinet. BJP has four MLAs.

Mr Naidu has announced in the poll campaign that he will give two Deputy Chief Ministers posts, one to Kapu community and second one to BC community. According to sources from BC community, K.E. Krishna Murthy, the senior most MLA, from Kurnool district, may get a chance.

From Kapu community, Narayana may get the post of Deputy Chief Minister.

Narayan who is the Chairman of Narayana Educational institutions has played a key role in the recent Assembly elections. But Narayan is not either a MLA or MLC. If he will be given the Deputy Chief Minister, he will be made a MLC latter.
