Despite rains, temperature to rise in Hyderabad and surroundings

Hyderabad, Secunderabad, received rain, resulting in traffic jams and water logging

Hyderabad: Rains lashed some parts of Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on Thursday afternoon. Visakhapatnam received 36 mm of rain till Thursday morning. Some parts of Hyderabad, including Nampally, Masab Tank, Secunderabad, Lakdikapul, Khairatabad, among others, received rain, resulting in traffic jams and water logging at some junctions.

Despite the prediction of more rain or thundershowers in the next 24 hours, Met officials  said that the day temperatures are likely to rise by two or three degree Celsius. Maximum temperatures rose at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, but dipped in Rayalaseema. Rentachintala recorded the highest temperature at 44°Celsius.
