Mumbai: Dia Mirza is excited about the release of Bobby Jasoos, her second film as a producer.

The Vidya Balan-starrer film was entirely shot in Hyderabad and Dia is excited that her hometown played an important part in the film. “I belong to Hyderabad and I love the city. Also, during shooting, I could be with my mom.”

On a personal front, Dia had to go through a lot of turmoil during the making of Bobby Jasoos. “During the making of the film my mom had fallen sick. We had to stop the shoot for a few days. The turmoil and anguish I went through while making the film was terrible. However, with Vidya and the other cast and technicians working sincerely, it was a huge relief for me.”

All praises for Vidya, she adds, “No one could ever suit the character like Vidya. She performs all her duties very honestly and it reflects in her performance. I remember once when we showed a picture of Vidya in disguise (she had braces on her teeth) to her mother, she said, ‘I feel I have seen her somewhere’.”

And the actor-turned-producer can’t wait for the film to release. “I am happy that finally the film is ready for release. I do not see any competition from any other jasoosi kind of a film. Our film will definitely bring in a change. I am hopeful that it will do well.”

On a different note, we ask about her marriage plans with fiancé Sahil. “After the release of the film, we look forward to getting married. I really want to have babies now…” Would she prefer a boy or a girl? “A girl is better any day,” she says.
