New Delhi: As voices of dissent started surfacing in the BJP and its allies over inadequate representation, speculation is rife that a Cabinet expansion could happen soon.

In fact, National Democratic Alliance partner Shiv Sena’s leader Anant Geete, who got a Cabinet berth in the Narendra Modi Cabinet, indicated that Mr Modi’s ministry will be expanded in a month and his party will get two more berths in Modi Cabinet.

“Yes I am the sole minister from Shiv Sena in the Cabinet, more will be inducted after Cabinet expansion in a month,” Mr Geete said to a news agency. Sources disclosed that BJP leaders from Rajasthan, which gave all 25 parliamentary seats, are miffed over inadequate representation in the Modi Cabinet.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje held a meeting with party MPs on Monday after some MPs raised the issue. Eventually, Ganganagar MP Nihal Chand was inducted as the MoS in the Modi Cabinet.

However, Rajasthan BJP leaders are not happy with this. Also, some of the states, including West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand along with some northeastern states have not got representation in the Modi Cabinet.
