Hyderabad: Several TRS leaders met Etela Rajender following a  rumour that he is tipped to be the home minister. Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao met the Governor on Friday, the third meeting between them in the recent past, and had a one-on-one talk which led to speculation that they discussed the formation of the Cabinet and the oath-taking.

Though some party leaders prefer a public oath-taking ceremony at Lal Bahadur Stadium, Mr Rao, who is on an austerity drive, did not reportedly want to make it a costly affair.

Sircilla MLA K.T. Rama Rao said he did not know if Mr Chandrasekhar Rao would go for a full-fledged Cabinet of 18 members, including the CM.

The process of choosing a Cabinet is already on, but no names have been revealed. It is believed that there will be one minister from each of the 10 districts, while in places like Medak there may be two or even three ministers — Mr Chandrasekhar Rao, Mr T. Harish Rao (Siddipet) and Mr K.T. Rama Rao (Sircilla).

The TRS supremo had promised Cabinet berths to the following contestants during the election campaign in various constituencies: Mr T. Padma Rao (Secunderabad Assembly constituency), Mr Etela Rajender (Huzurabad), Mr Pocharam Srinivas Reddy (Banswada), Mr Jagdish Reddy (Suryapet), Mr Koppula Eshwar (Dharmapuri SC), Mr Swami Goud (MLC), Mr Madhusudhana Chary (Bhupalappally) and Mr Mahamood Ali (MLC), who is tipped for Deputy Chief Minister and Mr Srinivas Goud (Mahbubnagar).
