Rakhi Sawant wants to join BJP again

Mumbai: After not getting much by way of votes in the Lok Sabha election, Bollywood starlet Rakhi Sawant wants to join the BJP again. To this end, she will soon go to Delhi to meet the Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi, BJP chief Rajnath Singh and other senior leaders. She has also resigned from the Rashtriya Aam Party (RAP) that she had formed to contest the elections.

Sawant had joined the BJP in March this year, just before the Lok Sabha elections. She went to the Delhi headquarters of the party and officially joined in the presence of the BJP chief. She had called herself the daughter of the BJP, but decided to launch her own political outfit within a few days. The controversial starlet had also contested the general elections, but lost her deposit after getting a meagre 2,006 votes from Mumbai North-West parliamentary constituency.

According to Sawant, she has now realised her mistake and wants to go back to her maternal home.
