Jamnagar: A low intensity earthquake hit areas near Lalpur taluka of Gujarat's Jamnagar district on Monday morning, state disaster management officials said.

The epicentre of the earthquake, measured at 3.4 on Richter scale, was registered 16 kms north-east of Lalpur town, which is close to some of India's largest petroleum refinery complexes.
