Modi, Priyanka hit out at each other again

Amethi: BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi and Priyanka Gandhi came out all guns blazing against each other on Monday with  Mr Modi accusing her of displaying “arrogance” and Priyanka lashing out at him for “insulting” Rajiv Gandhi.

Taking a swipe at Priyanka, Mr Modi asserted the Smriti Irani the BJP candidate against Rahul Gandhi was his “younger sister” who knows much more about Amethi than the entire Gandhi family.

Addressing a rally in the Gandhi family bastion here, Mr Modi without taking the name of Priyanka said, “One of their (Congress) leaders even asked who is Smriti Irani? In democracy the royals do not have the right to ask such questions. This is nothing, but arrogance. I want to tell who is Smriti Irani. She is my younger sister and she will take care of your welfare.”
On Sunday when Priyanka was asked about the attacks by Ms Irani, she had asked, “Who”? When the reporter repeated, “Smriti Irani,” she said grinning, “Oh”.
