Kochi: Willson Joseph began his acting career with the TV serial Chumma Just Fun. The handsome young man has now settled comfortably in Mollywood with his kitty full of substantial roles.

Willson, who is now busy with the pre-production of Alphonse Putharen’s Premam, says, “I am very happy and content. In fact, I feel like I’m on cloud nine.”

The actor, who joined the film industry four years ago after quitting a successful professional life to chase his passion, says that his struggle and hard work has paid off.

“Like Mammukka says in Best Actor, no one is going to come knocking at your door and offer a role. If you have a dream of being in the industry, you should jump out of your comfort zone and try.”

With the enthusiasm of a child taking baby steps, Willson is looking for good roles that can refine his acting skills.

“I would love to essay all kinds of roles, which have something to offer to the audience. I was in a profession where I had the responsibility of saving lives and now I am working to entertain the masses. I personally feel that whatever we do to make others happy is worth it,” he explains.

The actor with the boy-next-door looks will be next seen in Vishnuprasad’s Beware Of Dogs and Third World Boys, directed by duo Ayyappa Swaroop and Shahaladharan Sashidhar.

“I loved playing Dominic in Beware Of Dogs. He is a fun-loving, humorous young boy who has dreams which are tough to execute. I am sure that he will make you laugh. In Third World Boys, I play Willson, a nervous and shy guy who initially acts as a wet blanket among friends and then turns out to be a total adventure freak,” says Willson.

A hardcore movie buff, he enjoys observing Christoph Waltz and Mohanlal. Willson dreams to create a niche for himself in the industry in the near future.
