London: Singer Liam Gallagher has sparked rumours surrounding his former band Oasis after posting some cryptic tweets. The group's ex-frontman took to his Twitter account and individually tweeted the letters O A S I S over the course of a few hours. Gallagher then followed up the posts, simply tweeting, 'OASIS LG', reported Digital Spy.

The meaning of the tweets is as yet unclear, but fans
were understandably excited and replied by asking if Oasis
were getting back together. Followers also wondered if the band were to reunite at this year's Glastonbury festival.

Gallagher and Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs were 'mobbed' when they attended the opening night of a new Oasis exhibition in London earlier this month. The exhibition is taking place to coincide with the forthcoming reissue of Oasis' 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe, which will be released on May 19.
