Google Hangouts has a new version

Mumbai: Google has updated its ‘Hangouts’ to 2.1 version, which is now available for Android users. Many additional features have been added to Google Hangouts.

Google Hangouts has divided its contact list into two sections— ‘People you Hangout With’ and ‘Phone Contacts’.  This will help individuals to navigate and use its SMS feature in a much simpler manner. It has also added the ‘Homescreen widget’ option, which users need to add to their homescreen for quick access to their recent conversations. Official reports also stated that Google Hangouts have also improved the quality of videos and MMS reliability.

‘Merged conversations’ is the unique feature added to Google Hangouts. One can SMS and continue their Hangout conversations with the same recipient in a single conversation. One can also merge and unmerge conversations, as per their choice.
