Los Angeles: Estranged couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones hit a red carpet event together for the first time since their split last year. The couple has been spotted together often in recent months after their split last June, but it was only on April 15 that they made their first official appearance for opening night of 'The Library' at The Public Theater in New York City,
reported People magazine.

They were supporting director Steven Soderbergh, who created the play. Zeta-Jones worked with the filmmaker on 'Traffic', 'Ocean's Twelve' and 'Side Effects', while Douglas worked with him on 'Traffic', 'Haywire' and 'Behind the Candelabra'.

Douglas, 69, and Zeta-Jones, 44, looked relaxed and happily posed for photos, with the actress in a plunging black dress and sporting blunt bangs. The pair, who are parents to son Dylan, 13, and daughter Carys, 11, have apparently been working on mending their 13-year-old marriage.
