Bengaluru: Home Minister K.J. George on Wednesday clarified that in his entire political career, he had never hobnobbed with anti-social elements for any political gains.
“I have a clean track record and a spotless political career. I will never compromise on values and principles in public life,” he stated.
Reacting to a Deccan Chronicle report, ‘Row over rowdy by Rizwan’s side, published on Wednesday, Mr George stated that he was not aware of such a man travelling along with him in the jeep.
“I was campaigning for party candidate Mr Rizwan Arshad. Many people were trying to get into our jeep. We cannot identify rowdies just by looking at them,” he said.
Stating that the DC report was an eye-opener, Mr George said that the report reminded him again that he should be careful in public life.
“I have instructed the city police commissioner to take necessary action against the rowdy, who was in the jeep,” he said.
