Kawasaki: Japan's famous Annual Penis Festival, locally called 'Kanamara Matsuri', was held on Wednesday, April 6, in Kawasaki.

The festival is said to have originated in the 17th century, and it celebrates fertility, pregnancy and penises.

The event is a major tourist attraction in Japan and also acts as a huge platform to raise money for HIV research and to encourage safe sex.
