Hyderabad: The next couple of days might bring a little respite from the scorching heat as the Meteorological officials have predicted isolated thunderstorm or hailstorm activity over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema regions.

Even in the twin cities,  the forecast for the next couple of days predicts thunderstorm activity towards the evening or night. However, maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 40ºC and 25ºC respectively.

K. Seetha Ram, the director of the Meteorological Centre, said there is an upper air trough from Vidarbha to south-interior Karnataka and Telangana.

“The convergence or troughs would cause this thunderstorm activity. Districts including Srikakulam, Viziagnagaram Visakhapatnam, Kadapa, Chittoor, Karimnagar, Warangal, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad and Khammam will be affected. If this trough intensifies, it is likely to cause hailstorm,” Mr Ram said.
