Cyberabad police arrested a man who was transporting a huge quantity of explosives in a car

Hyderabad: A man was caught transporting a huge quantity of explosives in a car by the Cyberabad police at Keesara on Wednesday. The police found 1,000 gelatin sticks and 1,250 detonators in the car.

Cops said that a person named T. Surender was bringing the explosives from Nalgonda district to sell them to a contractor in the city. The main trader of the explosive, Madhusudhan Reddy, is absconding.

“The explosive was bought from a godown in Nalgonda district and brought to the city illegally to sell it to contractors,” said a police official. Cops said the explosives are used for blasting rocks.

Meanwhile, Balanagar police seized '3.30 lakh from a businessman on Wednesday. Cops stopped the man’s BMW car and found the money inside. Balanagar SI S. Venkat verified the source of the money and handed it over to the returning officer.
