Mr Ramanarayana Reddy, Mr Raghuveera Reddy and Rajya Sabha member K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao said that though the Congress has enough majority to form a new government in the state, imposing President’s Rule was ideal as the election schedule would be issued in the next four or five days.

They said by imposing President’s Rule the Congress has avoided such criticism. Mr Laxmaiah said the Union Cabinet has taken a correct decision by imposing President’s Rule. Mr Nagendar, supporting the Union Cabinet decision, said that the high command has taken this decision to avoid controversies. Meanwhile, Telangana political JAC chairman Kodandaram said that imposing President’s Rule was inevitable due to the situation prevailing in the state.
