Namma boys in blue have done it yet again. As Kichcha Sudeep takes the Karnataka Bulldozers to win Season 4 of Celebrity Cricket League, CCL for the second time in a row, excitement reigns supreme on the faces of Darshan, Chiranjeevi Sarja, Tharun Chandra, Tharun Sudhir, Dhruv, Vishwas, Pradeep, Rahul, Chetan, Diganth, Dharma, Sunil Rao, Jayram Karthik, Mahesh, Rajeev, Abhimanyu and Bhuvan.

The grand win on Sunday evening at Hyderabad saw the Karnataka Bulldozers making a smashing win over Kerala Strikers. Getting into the finals for the fourth time in a row cannot be fluke for any one.

And that’s what Tharun Sudhir reiterates after emerging winners. Tarun who has been part of the team from the beginning and is currently working on two movies, Gajakesari and Adhyaksha, says, “We have proven that our win is not a fluke as we have been finalists for all four seasons. This time I think what made us win was that we were calm and not under pressure. Even Sudeep was more relaxed.”

Captain Sudeep took the winning trophy to Ambareesh, who is currently at Vikram Hospital, straight from the airport. Sudeep who was already back to shooting for his next film on February 25, said that he was proud to be the team’s captain and that it was all team effort that led them to the victory. “We are dedicating the cup to Ambareesh and the Kannada film industry,” he said.

Last year Sudeep had taken the boys to celebrate their success in Bangkok, so we ask where they would be flying out this time and he replies, “We are waiting for speedy recovery of Ambareesh. Once he gets back home, we will definitely go out for a holiday.”

Exciting from the word go, Baazi Bhaskar, who is being called as the Sachin of KB, reveals, “My friends are teasing me and calling me Dr Modi, who knows how to give finishing touches, since it took the two crucial wickets.

The match against Chennai was a do-or-die situation and in the finals against Kerala we put up a good fight. There were so many brand ambassadors, celebrities and girls in the cheering squad, that there was hardly any place to sit in the dugout.

Darshan always motivated me and never let me down. I will start shooting for Goondagiri and Royal Love after Shivaratri.”

Actor Sunil Rao adds, “This is my first season and I’m maha thrilled with the victory. I made sure I was fit, but had a sprained ankle.

Sudeep’s fingers are all bent and all of us are bruised here and there, but we put in all hard work for two months that paid off. I didn’t realise being a sportsman and living away from your family for months in a row, can be so tough.

The fine strokes of Rajeev who scored 110 runs gave an edge to the team combined with Dhruva Sharma (deaf and mute actor of Kannada cinema).”
