Vajpayee’s birthday celebrated
Distribution of sweets and cutting of cake marked the birthday celebration.
Chennai: Distribution of sweets and cutting of cake marked the birthday celebration of former prime minister and senior BJP leader A.B. Vajpayee at Kamalalayam, the BJP headquarters, here on Wednesday.
A large number of BJP members including senior leaders descended upon the party office in the evening and participated in the birthday celebrations.
Earlier, the Tamil Nadu minority morch (wing) of the saffron party organised a massive function at Thiruvanmiyur, here, to celebrate the birthday of the senior leader and also the Christmas function under the leadership of its president B. John.
Apart from cutting the “Thamarai” cake and distributing to party members, the morcha organised a feast on the occasion. The party workers vowed to strive for the victory of the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections next year.
