Deepika Padukone does a Sonam for new ad film

After their chemistry was appreciated in 'Karthik Calling Karthik', Deepika Padukone and Farhan Akhtar have come together for an ad film. The advertisement for a popular brand was shot in Mumbai, and what caught the attention of those present at the shoot was Deepika’s striking resemblance to the way Sonam Kapoor was styled in 'Raanjhanaa'.

A source present on the shoot shared, “While Deepika and Farhan play small-towners and the ad recreates the past, Deepika’s look and styling was strikingly similar to that of Sonam’s in 'Raanjhanaa'. Those present during the shoot could not help notice the resemblance.”

Sonam had sported simple cotton kurtas and worn her hair in a plait, in films like 'Delhi 6' and 'Raanjhanaa'. While Deepika is usually known for her glamorous avatar, with her simple avatar, comparisons to Sonam’s look will be inevitable.
