Chief Commissioner Excise Hyderabad BB Prasad KK Singh commissioner and R Manoher additional commissioner displays 18 kg gold biscuits seized from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad, on Friday.
Hyderabad central excise seized about 60 kg of gold this year.
Hazi Mohammad, Ziauddin and Chokkalingam were travelling by a private airline. They will be produced in a local court, a customs official said.
The gold was meant to be smuggled to Chennai further, the official said, adding an investigation was on.
The trio carried as many as 18 gold bars, each weighing one kg and valued at over Rs5 crore.
