As promised, DC brings you first-hand information about the glamorous face to be selected as 'Star Ambassador' to cheer on the Chennai Rhinos of the soon-to-launch fourth edition of the Celebrity Cricket League.

It's none other than namma Chennai ponnu Trisha, who has finally bagged the hot slot.

Sources say that though there were quite a few, including Tamannah, who were being considered to represent the Chennai Rhinos, which is helmed by actor Vishal, insiders say that the gorgeous Trisha was the preferred one by most of them, and being a Chennai girl, the connect was there too.

Reportedly, the 'Endrendrum Punnagai' actress has been paid a substantial amount to be part of CR and making her star presence felt at their matches.

Srikanth Babu, spokesperson and director of Chennai Rhinos, confirmed the news to DC and said that they were happy to bring Trisha on board.

When Trisha, who is shooting for her maiden Kannada film with Puneet at Seemandhra Palace near Hubli, was contacted, she was all smiles. "I am glad that I am finally on board with CCL. Even though we have been talking about it for the last three years, it didn't materialise for various reasons.

"Chennai is always my first love, my home, everything! So I'm always honoured to represent something that's part of Chennai. I am looking forward to the new season and good luck to my wonderful team," she says.
