Congress men fault Jagan’s comments

Congress leaders from both Telangana and Seemandhra condemned YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Hyderabad: Congress leaders from both Telangana and Seemandhra condemned YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for saying that AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh deserved to be slapped.

On Saturday, when a reporter had sought Reddy’s reaction to Singh’s earlier remark that the YSRC shared the Congress’ DNA, the YSRC?president said Singh deserved to be slapped for the remark.

PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana wondered if Reddy knew the meaning of DNA. He said there was nothing wrong in the comment as Reddy was the son of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, a staunch Congress man.

He said the YSRC?president was speaking without any respect for seniors. ?He also added that the Congress would not issue any whip to the party MLAs when the Telangana Bill comes up for discussion in the Assembly.

Congress MP Gutta Sukhendar Reddy said YSR would not have become CM?if there was no Congress, and there would have been no Jagan without YSR. V. Hanumantha Rao and N. Raghuveera Reddy said the YSRC chief’s remarked showed his culture.
