Chennai: Concerned over your baggage going missing at the airport? Or worse, you have no idea where to find a good vegetarian restaurant or buy flowers while on a sudden trip abroad? Or you’re at a loss on how to respond to a medical emergency of a family member back home?

TravellTag Cover More appears to ensure a solution to prevent loss of baggage at airports, besides providing on-road assistance during mishaps, provides global SIM cards and travel insurance.
“The unclaimed or damaged luggage at the airport is invariably auctioned and the traveller hardly has any scope to get back his property.

Usually, bags are likely to be lying around somewhere, they are not lost as presumed, because the ground handlers may not be able to trace the owner if the barcode sticker comes off by mistake,” says Dev Karvat, managing director, TravellTag Cover More.

“In the US, for instance, about 3 lakh bags are lost and they are auctioned. The firm in Alabama which buys them sells whatever is found in the bags, including electronic goods, online,” he says. “In fact, I have lost my bag, even my laptop. I wanted to do something to track the lost luggage and thus was born the online tracking system,” Karvat says, his firm having tied up with airlines across the globe for the purpose.

He claims that his is the first company to provide such a unique service along with family protection, medical and travel insurance, concierge assistance and global SIM cards at an affordable price of Rs 1,000 per person with a validity of three months.
