TDP sells veggies at Rs1 per kg to protest high prices

Vijayawada: To highlight the high prices, local TDP workers today sold vegetables at Rs 1 per kg at Lenin Center here this morning.

Former MP Gadde Rama Mohan alleged that both the state as well as the Centre had failed to bring the prices of essential commodities down.

While Congress boasted about food security act, it failed to make food items available at reasonable prices, he said.
