Stupefying his audiences with his music has always been a cakewalk for Italian electro-house/dance-punk music producer, Congorock since his rise to fame in 2010. We caught up with the dynamic DJ after the recently concluded Sound Awake music festival in Bengaluru.

Incidentally, the said performance was his first in Bengaluru. He set the stage on fire with absolute ease.

“Since this was my first performance in India, I brought in some new EDM with me, especially. When I watched Jacob Plant perform, I figured out the kind of EDM that people like here. I didn't expect much of a response but now I can see the great vibe here. It is good to know that the crowd here is always ready to party. I hope I can come back soon," says Congorock, born as Rocco Rampino.

Having collaborated with the likes of Rihanna, Scott Cogo, and Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, Congorock has done it in style after he rose to fame with his 2010 smash hit, 'Babylon'. He has also shown his skills as a writer through 'Misfits', a song in which Travis Barker collaborated with Steve Aoki.

“I started DJing at a small bar in Milan. Getting appreciated by my listeners was and is a big thing. That motivated me to produce my own music. I have been fortunate enough to be guided by top class music producers during my career. They helped me develop my unique style of music," says Congorock who also plays the guitar.

The enigmatic DJ recently released his single with Nom De Strip, 'Minerals'. “I have collaborated with Clockwork on a song called 'Infinite Manna'. It will release in January. My next set of singles will come out before that by the end of December. I will take my tribal-electro music forward in 2014," says the composer of Exodus.
