Is Venkat Prabhu working on a sequel?

There are speculations in the industry that director Venkat Prabhu, who is all set for the release of his next flick, 'Biryani', has now started working on his next. The film is supposedly a sequel to 'Mankatha', actor Ajith’s 50th film and a blockbuster hit.

At a recent award function, Dayanidhi Alagiri, the producer of 'Mankatha', also hinted that there was a possibility for a sequel — 'Mankatha-2' from the same team very soon.

When DC contacted Venkat Prabhu, he cleared the air. The director said, “As of now, we are busy with 'Biryani' and I have not started to work on any other script. May be we would give a thought to it later, but not now.”
