Vijay Milton, the cameraman on films like 'Kadhal', 'Autograph', and more, such as the recent 'Vazhkku En 18/9', and who took to wielding the mega phone with a Bharath-starrer, 'Azhagai Irukkirai Bhayamai Irukkiradhu', returned to what he was best at - cranking the camera after the movie turned out to be a dud. Now, after seven years, once again, Milton is trying his hand at direction.

Titled 'Goli Soda', the movie talks about four adolescent boys whose life revolves around the Koyambedu wholesale vegetable and fruit market, situated in Chennai, the largest of its kind in Asia. “I was passing through Koyambedu Market one morning, when I witnessed hundreds of young boys sleeping in its attics. That triggered my curiosity and I started researching them. I learnt that their world revolves only around this 'market', they do not have any other identity. Even when they get old, they indulge in activities like selling ganja and putting up petty tea shops inside the market. I immediately decided to make a film on them," says Milton who has roped in National Award winning stars of 'Pasanga' fame, Sree Raam, Kishore, Pandi and Murugesh for GS.

The film is produced by Subash Chandra Bose and Bharat Seeni. “I gave them an image makeover for that realistic look before starting the shoot," he adds. ?
