Apparently, after the success of quite a few sequels in K’Town, such as 'Singam-2', 'Pizza-2', and 'Billa 2', yesteryear actor and director Thiagarajan has decided to produce and direct a sequel to Jeans, which was then directed by Shankar. Prashanth, Thiagarajan’s son, who played the lead in the first part (which did well at the box office), will do so in the sequel as well. There are speculations that Thiagarajan has also registered the title, 'Jeans-2'.

Thiagarajan said, “We are planning to start the shoot for 'Jeans-2' by next year, in mid May or June. It will be a trilingual flick, which will be released in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil.” When asked about the casting of the film, whether Nasser, Radhika or Aishwarya Rai would be called, he said, “We will try our best to rope in the same biggies who acted in Jeans, and this film will be done in a better way, justifying the first part.” Thiagarajan is currently shooting for two films, which are yet to be titled.
