Police had a tough time controlling the crowd. Traffic was badly hit on Saturday with more than 6000 vehicles arriving for Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Samaikya Sankharavam public meeting at L.B. Stadium.
People from different parts of the state started arriving from the morning for the meeting. Vehicular traffic was hit at Trimulgherry junctions by noon with several buses lining up there.
However, police took them away before they faced the wrath of the crowd, reports said.
Two men, who shouted pro-Telangana slogans at the event, were manhandled by the crowd.
Supporters came in large numbers from across the state to attend the meet. "Despite crops worth lakhs under water, you were sent here by your mother, sister and brother back home. I thank them," Jagan said to huge applause.

The 'Samaikya Andhra Sankharavam' rally was attended by a large crowd brought in special trains and buses from coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions.

As the stadium was filled to capacity, a large crowd remained on roads outside and watched Jagan's speech on a giant screen.

Picture shows crowd outside the stadium. In his 50-minute speech, Jagan posed many questions to Sonia Gandhi, chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu over their 'bid to weaken a strong state' by splitting it.

“Telugu people are living together for more than 60 years, and if anyone is asked to go from Hyderabad, is it justified,” he asked.
