Raipur: In a gory incident, a man in a Chhattisgarh village brutally killed his minor son by beheading him in a human sacrifice witchcraft ritual to “calm down his deceased father’s restive soul”, police said on Saturday.
A probe by local police into the January 7 incident of alleged human sacrifice of 14-year-old Chandan in the village of Bhagabanpur Gorkhan in Ragarh district nearly 170 km from here, has led to spine chilling revelation that the murder suspect in the case was none other than the unfortunate victim’s father, Ranvijay Bharti (58).
“We cracked the suspected child human sacrifice case on Saturday and found the father as the suspect,” a cop said.
