GHMC polls to be held on February 2
Hyderabad: The GHMC polls will be held on February 2, counting will take place on February 5.
The Telangana State Election Commission issued the election notification after the government announced the reservations for 150 GHMC divisions on Friday.
State election commissioner Nagi Reddy said nominations would be accepted from January 12 and the last date to submit nominations would be January 17.
Scrutiny of nominations would take place on January 18 and the last date for withdrawal of applications was January 21. Polling will be held on February 2 from 7 am to 5 pm. Re-polling, if necessary, will be held on February 4.
With this, the Model Code of Conduct for the GHMC polls came into force from Friday.
