Abhishek Bachchan flew down to Chennai to be part of Vikram’s Spirit of Chennai video. Vikram and Abhishek share a very close bond as the two have earlier worked together in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan.
The video pays tribute to the people of Chennai as well as the army of volunteers who braved odds to organise help for those stranded during the Chennai floods. The Spirit of Chennai song has been written by Madhan Karky, Rokesh and Gana Bala, and it has been sung by over 20 singers. It also includes Suriya, Prabhas, Ram Charan and Nithya Menen among others.
