Telangana: Fake job racket busted, three persons held
Accused promised to get them the job without any test.
Hyderabad: The South Zone team of the Commissioner’s Task Force busted a fake job racket by arresting three people including a senior accounts manager working in Singareni Collieries Company Ltd. The gang had allegedly cheated about 60 people by offering government jobs in SSCL.
Kiran Kumar, senior accounts officer at SSCL, Shatam Ramesh, a systems operator, and Mothe Ramesh, a driver collected, '10,000 to '20,000 from each job aspirant, who had earlier applied for the job.
“The victims had applied against vacancies in the company following an employment notification. The written test was scheduled to be conducted in Dec. second week, but it was postponed by the administration. Taking advantage of this situation, Kiran Kumar and his aides took rooms in various hotels in the city and invited the applicants to meet him. He promised to get them the job without any test,” said a senior official from the Task Force.
The gang convinced the victims that Kiran Kumar has good rapport with the higher officials in the company, and each of them will get placements soon. Following a tip off, the cops raided various places in the state, and held the trio.
