Prepare report on pending cases: Karnataka High Court
Court observed that delay in investigation was resulting in pending cases before the court.
Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday granted time, till January 19, to state government to file a proper and comprehensive report with regard to the number of cases pending before the Directorate of Prosecution, number of cases that are under investigation and number of cases that have been disposed of.
The court was unhappy with the report filed by the state, and hence granted more time to file a proper report. Expressing displeasure over the manner of investigation, the court questioned about the cases pending.
The court observed that delay in investigation was resulting in pending cases before the court and the delay could lead to loss of crucial evidence.
Land for Nimhans: The high court has held that grant of nearly 40 acres of land on lease for Nimhans North Campus by the state government was in accordance with law. Considering the workload at the present campus of Nimhans, the state government had granted land for the North Campus.
