Veteran director K. Raghavendra Rao received the Allu Ramalingaiah National Award for 2015.
Chiranjeevi presented the award to the veteran director. “Raghavendra Rao is very close to Ramalingaiah garu and to our family,” said Chiru, remembering the days he spent with his father-in-law Ramalingaiah.
“He is a great human being, freedom fighter, philanthropist, broad-minded, progressive thinker and a doctor,” said Chiranjeevi. Talking about Raghavendra Rao, he said, “Our first film was Adavi Donga and then I worked with him for 12 films. He took me to another level as an actor.”
Allu Aravind, Allu Arjun, Gemini Kiran, Ashwini Dutt and politicians Ghanta Srinivasa Rao, Kamineni Srinivas, Bandaru Dattatreya, Talasani Srinivasa Yadav along with many others attended the function.
