Hyderabadis are patriots: MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi to Gadkari
Hyderabad: MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday demanded an apology from Union minister Nitin Gadkari, accusing him of terming Hyderabadis as “anti-nationals”.
Saying that Mr Gadkari’s statement was tantamount to casting aspersions on the integrity and patriotism of all Hyderabadis, irrespective of caste and creed, Mr Owaisi described it as “obnoxious and highly condemnable”.
“This is coming from a Union minister who has purview of all national secrets. I demand he reveals the names of all those “anti-national” elements and if he cannot, apologise to Hyderabadis,” the MP said
“Just for GHMC elections, Gadkari is casting aspersions on Hyderabadis who are true Indians. Hyderabadis will give a fitting reply in the GHMC polls,” he said.
Referring to the Pathankot terror attack, Mr Owaisi described the Union home minister claiming that the operation was over when it was not, as an “embarrassment to the nation”.
“Despite having specific intelligence inputs after kidnap of a police SP in Punjab how could the perpetrators managed to enter the air base,” he questioned.
