Tollywood producer B.A. Raju announces Vysakham

B.A. Raju, who has earlier produced films like Chantigadu, Premalo Pavani, Gundammagari Manavadu and Lovely, announced his new project, Vysakham.

“Like my earlier films, I am introducing new faces as the lead pair in this film. They are under training and we are holding workshops for them,” says Raju, adding that his wife B. Jaya, who had directed his earlier films, will direct this one as well. The producer says that after Lovely they were preparing a good script and that’s why it took time. Shooting for the film will start in January itself.

“The year 2015 was the best for Tollywood. Viewership for Telugu cinema increased and Telugu cinema is on par with the Hindi film industry. So there is a big demand for Telugu films,” he says.

He adds that Lovely got more than 2 millions views on YouTube once they uploaded the Hindi dubbed version of the film.

“This was a small film, but the subject attracted many people. The film was also remade in Bengali,” he says.

His upcoming film Vysakham is more about human relationships and family bonds, he adds.
