After impressing both critics and moviegoers with her performance in Bajirao Mastani, Deepika Padukone is all set to cross the Atlantic — for the sequel of the 2002 action hit XXX.
The actress has stayed mum about her role but the film’s director D.J. Caruso let the cat out of the bag in a tweet reply to a question. “We start in January. She starts sometime in February,” he wrote. Deepika, meanwhile, has been posting photos of herself with the film’s lead Vin Diesel.
The film also stars martial arts legends Jet Li and Tony Jaa. The XXX sequel will be Padukone’s Hollywood debut. Details of her role though, remain a secret.
