Hall of Pride dedicated to Kalam at 103rd Indian Science Congress

It was here that he wrote his Tamil songs dedicated to India's less fortunate people.

Mysuru: It was not in the vast rooms of Rashtrapati Bhavan but in a thatched open hut, named 'Thinking Hut' at the President's residence that Dr APJ Abdul Kalam spent his solitude, especially on full moon nights.

It was here that he wrote his Tamil songs dedicated to India's less fortunate people. A replica of this Thinking Hut is on view at the 'Hall of Pride' pavilion at the Indian Science Congress.

There are rare insights into Dr Kalam's character like his aim to interact with one lakh students a year, how he wrote 'Thank You' cards and replied to every e-mail personally and his passion for playing the Veena.
