Real' madness is selling like hot cake
It is indeed a mad, mad, mad world out there. In this case though, ‘real’ madness is selling like hot cake. It may sound insane, but 2015 witnessed one such phenomena with the sudden rise of a character who called himself Huccha Venkat. Claiming that he has an army of fans across the globe — Pakistan, America or the remotest place on Planet Earth. Such was the insane popularity he attained, that the first week of this year witnessed a book written and released on him by a senior journalist titled Hucchu Manassina Nooru Mukhagalu (100 faces of a mad mind).
His popularity doubled after he was selected for Bigg Boss 3, and further tripled when he was evicted from the house for hitting a fellow contestant. He faced huge criticism, and even threats for showing disrespect to several personalities and even the host of the reality show — Kiccha Sudeep. He was arrested after a complaint was lodged against him for hurting community sentiments. That’s not all, undeterred by all this, he is coming back with the sequel to his film Huccha Venkat. In demand for his ‘singing’ abilities too, a reputed producer has also signed a film with him titled Dictator. Wonder who is mad, the critics or the ‘mad’ man who managed to gain so much publicity — a film titled Dictator, a book on his life, and even songs? We’ll let you decide.
