Quality matters, not the number of films: Aari
Aari’s career graph seems to have gone on an upswing.
Aari’s career graph seems to have gone on an upswing ever since the release of the Nayanthara-starrer Maya. It looks like the actor, who recently tied the knot, is back on track now, concentrating on films. His next is Unnodu Kaa, a full-fledged commercial entertainer. Aari says, “This is the first time I am attempting something of this sort. I play a guy who sells antiques in a store. The movie has two heroines. Maya of Darling fame plays one of the heroines, and the other one hasn’t been finalised yet. The script has a liberal dose of comedy. We discuss about everybody on this earth, but we don’t know much about who we are, besides our flaws and strengths. Unnodu... is on those lines.”
Up next, Aari has Kadai En 6 and Maane Thene Peye in his kitty. “Kadai, a well-fleshed-out entertainer, and will be a cult film like Chennai 28. It’s a fun-filled film — all the more so because its director Sasidharan had worked on the script of Chennai 28,” adds Aari, who wants to do movies that have quality entertainment, and at the same time are commercially successful. He feels it is not quantity that matters, but quality, when it comes to choosing roles. “As an actor, one has to feel that special satisfaction while essaying a role. I wish to do at least two good movies in a year,” he tells us. So, what does he do when he doesn’t act? “I am into fitness,” he concludes.
